This sounds wonderful to have during the fall and holiday season. Prep time = cook time. From Southern Living's Ultimate Book of Appetizers. Ingredients:
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened |
1 (16 ounce) package powdered sugar, sifted |
1 (16 ounce) can pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling) |
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
Directions:
1. Beat cream cheese at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy. 2. Gradually add sugar, beating well. 3. Stir in pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg. 4. Serve immediately, or cover and chill. 5. Serve dip with gingersnap cookies. |
