This is a tasty dip/spread. Ingredients:
1 pkg. cream cheese |
2 tbsp. lemon juice (optional for those allergic to citrus) |
note: you can always substitute lemon juice with dill pickle juice - it works well. |
1/2 cup mayonnaise |
1 can white tuna, drained |
1/2 cup chopped ripe olives (i would use green olives instead) |
1 cup chopped pecans |
*note: low fat products work well with this recipe as well. |
Directions:
1. Soften cream cheese at room temperature and whip. Add remaining ingredients. May be served as a spread for crackers, a dip for veggies, on lettuce leaves or as a sandwich filling. 2. Note: I would mix everything together and then add the olives. I wouldn't want to see mashed olives in the spread - personally I don't think it would look appealing. |
