This is a great frosting from Vegan Cupcakes Take Over The World. It's great and pairs perfectly with #rz.190849 Maple Cupcakes. Note: I edited the recipe to remove the option to use regular powdered milk. I think that might have made the recipe gritty as one reviewer noted. Ingredients:
2/3 cup maple syrup |
3/4 cup margarine (softened) |
2/3 cup soymilk powder |
1 teaspoon maple extract |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. Beat together the softened margarine and maple syrup. It might look a little curdly, but that's ok. 2. Beat in the maple and vanilla extracts. 3. Slowly add the soymilk powder. 4. The frosting should be creamy and fluffy. If it looks too wet, add more soymilk powder. If it looks too dry, add more maple syrup. |
