This frothy and flavorful concoction is as fast to fix as it is to refresh. This makes a delicious splash at breakfast or any other time of day. It tastes like an old-fashioned Dreamsicle. Each serving is 1 cup. Diabetic Exchanges: 1 fruit, 1/2 fat free milk. This recipe is from Renee Richardson. I found the recipe in Light & Tasty magazine. I have not tried this recipe, but I'm posting it for safe keeping. Ingredients:
3/4 cup nonfat milk |
1/4 cup orange juice |
11 ounces reduced sugar mandarin oranges, undrained |
6 ounces fat free reduced sugar orange flavored yogurt |
1 ounce sugar-free instant vanilla pudding mix |
12 -15 ice cubes |
Directions:
1. In a blender, combine the milk, orange juice, oranges, yogurt, pudding mix and ice cubes; cover and process for 20 seconds or until smooth. Stir if necessary. 2. Pour into chilled glasses; serve immediately. |
