Creamy Italian Sausage Pasta |

A yummy dish that goes together really quick. Ingredients:
8 ounces uncooked spiral shaped pasta |
3/4 lb bulk italian sausage |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
1 tablespoon butter |
3/4 cup chopped sweet red pepper |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
1/2 cup chicken broth |
2 cups heavy cream |
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley |
Directions:
1. Cook pasta according to package directions. 2. In a large skillet, cook sausage in oil and butter over medium heat for 5 minutes. 3. Add red pepper and onion; cook and stir until vegetables are tender and sausage is no longer pink. 4. Add broth; cook for 2 minutes. 5. Add the cream, Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. 6. Bring to a boil. reduce heat; cook over low heat for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. 7. Drain pasta. 8. In a large bowl, combine sausage mixture and pasta. 9. Before serving, sprinkle with parsley. |
