I acquired a lot of side dish recipes from our local store. So I'm posting the ones that sound good. Eat as is or serve with chicken Kiev, here is a recipe I found Shanna's Favorite Chicken Kiev'. low Carb Ingredients:
1 tablespoon butter |
2 tablespoons minced shallots |
2 tablespoons flour |
1 teaspoon italian seasoning |
salt and pepper |
1 1/4 cups half-and-half |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
1 (14 ounce) package baby broccoli florets, cooked and drained |
Directions:
1. In a medium saucepan, melt butter. 2. Sauté shallot in butter until soft, about 3 minutes. 3. Stir in flour, seasoning, salt and pepper. 4. Cook over medium heat for 1 minute, stirring constantly. 5. Slowly add half-and-half and lemon juice. 6. Cook, stirring constantly, until thick and smooth. 7. Stir together sauce and broccoli. 8. Serve as is or with chicken Kiev. |
