A great appetizer anytime of the year. Dill is a great addition to the recipe- Add more if you wish Ingredients:
1 container crabmeat (8 oz.) |
1 pkg. cream cheese (8 oz.), softened |
1 - 2 t. milk |
1 t. worcestershire sauce |
1-1/2 t. fresh snipped chives |
1 t. fresh or 1/4 t. dried dill (or to taste) |
slivered almonds |
melba toast or triscuits |
Directions:
1. Rinse and sort through crabmeat making sure there are no pieces of shell 2. or cartilage. Drain thoroughly. 3. In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, milk, and Worcestershire sauce until well blended. 4. Add crab, chives, dill, and mix well. 5. Spread mixture into a shallow baking dish or au gratin dish. Top with almonds. 6. Bake at 350F for 15 - 20 minutes or until hot and bubbly. 7. Alternatively, this can be microwaved until hot and bubbly. 8. Serve with Melba toasts, or crackers. |
