This yummy meal is easy to put together in the morning with no work at meal time. The potatoes taste like au gratin . I usually increase the ham to 3 cups if possible. Ingredients:
4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced |
1 medium onion, finely chopped |
2 cups fully-cooked ham, cubed |
2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine |
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon ground mustard seeds |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 can cream of chicken soup or 1 can cream of mushroom soup |
1 1/3 cups water |
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded |
Directions:
1. In a slow cooker, layer potatoes, onion& ham. 2. In a saucepan, melt butter. 3. Stir in flour, mustard, salt& pepper until smooth. 4. Combine soup& water; gradually stir into flour mixture. 5. Bring to a boil; cook& stir for 2 minutes or until thickened& bubbly. 6. Pour over ham. 7. Cover & cook on low for 7-8 hours or until potatoes are tender. 8. Sprinkle with cheese before serving. |
