Ingredients:
2 cups 1% low-fat milk |
1 cup water |
3/4 cup uncooked quick-cooking grits |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
1 tablespoon butter |
Directions:
1. Bring milk and 1 cup water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Gradually add grits, stirring constantly with a whisk. Cook 5 minutes or until thick, stirring frequently. Remove from heat; stir in salt. Sprinkle with pepper; top each serving with butter. |
