Creamy Green Rice

Another awesome tried and true rice recipe good enough to serve company. Yummy
Ingredients:
1 medium white onion chopped
1/2 cup green bell pepper chopped
2 cloves garlic pressed
2 tablespoons butter
3/4 cup white rice
1-1/2 cups chicken broth
3 ounce package cream cheese cut into 1/2 cubes
3/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Directions:
1. On medium heat cook onion, bell pepper, garlic and butter until onion is limp stirring frequently.
2. Cook for 10 minutes then stir in rice and stir and additional 3 minutes.
3. Add broth and continue stirring.
4. Bring mixture to a boil then reduce heat to simmer.
5. Cover and cook 25 minutes.
6. Stir cheese and chopped parsley into rice mixture then let stand for 2 minutes.
