Another awesome tried and true rice recipe good enough to serve company. Yummy Ingredients:
1 medium white onion chopped |
1/2 cup green bell pepper chopped |
2 cloves garlic pressed |
2 tablespoons butter |
3/4 cup white rice |
1-1/2 cups chicken broth |
3 ounce package cream cheese cut into 1/2 cubes |
3/4 cup chopped fresh parsley |
Directions:
1. On medium heat cook onion, bell pepper, garlic and butter until onion is limp stirring frequently. 2. Cook for 10 minutes then stir in rice and stir and additional 3 minutes. 3. Add broth and continue stirring. 4. Bring mixture to a boil then reduce heat to simmer. 5. Cover and cook 25 minutes. 6. Stir cheese and chopped parsley into rice mixture then let stand for 2 minutes. |
