CREAMY GRAPE PIE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Laughlin Estate in Cedar Hill, Texas in 1994. Ingredients:
1-1/4 cup grape juice |
3 ounce package lemon gelatin |
3/4 cup sugar |
1 cup chilled evaporated milk |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
prepared 9 pie shell |
Directions:
1. Dissolve gelatin using boiling grape juice instead of water. 2. Mix sugar into gelatin. 3. Chill until almost stiff. 4. Whip evaporated milk and lemon juice and pour on top of cooled gelatin. 5. Beat slowly with mixer then pour into pie shell and chill until firm. 6. Garnish with whipped cream. |
