CREAMY CUCUMBER SALAD DATED 1954 This recipe came from an Estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Overton Estate in Dallas, Texas in 1992. Ingredients:
1/4 cup sour cream |
1/3 cup plain yogurt |
1-1/2 tablespoons red wine vinegar |
1-1/2 teaspoons sugar |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon ground black pepper |
3 large cucumbers thinly sliced |
1 medium sweet onion thinly sliced |
Directions:
1. In small bowl whisk together sour cream, yogurt, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper. 2. In medium bowl combine the cucumbers and onions. 3. Add the dressing and toss to coat well. 4. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes to blend flavors. |
