This is not for the faint hearted . But if you still want to try , substitute the tablespoon measurements for teaspoons . Ingredients:
1.2 kilo skinless chicken pieces |
1 big onion , sliced |
whole spices of your choice - 1 stick cinnamon , 1 star anise , 2 cardamom , 2 cloves |
1 tomato , cubed |
2 tbsp fresh ginger garlic paste |
5 tbsp corriander pwd |
3 tbsp chilli pwd |
1 tbsp meat pwd ( optional ) |
salt to taste |
200 ml cream |
5 kaffir lime leaves ( optional ) |
Directions:
1. Fry the onions in 2 tbsp oil along with the spices . 2. Add the ginger garlic paste . 3. Once well fried , add the tomato cubes . 4. Mix well , add the pwds and fry until raw smell disappears . 5. Add the chicken and salt in and mix until well coated . 6. Add more oil if necessary . 7. Add 1 1/2 to 2 cups of water . 8. Bring to boil and simer for 15 to 25 mins until well cooked . 9. Add the cream and mix well . 10. Crush the lime leaves in and close the lid . 11. Remove from fire and serve as side dish . |
