recipe from the Rival Crock Pot Simple 1-2-3 Slow Cooker Recipes cookbook, page 85 NOTE: a portion is about 1 1/4 cups of meat mixture. Ingredients:
3 chicken breast (light meat, no skin) |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon black pepper |
1/4 teaspoon paprika |
1 1/2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms |
1 3/4 teaspoons chicken bouillon granules |
1 cup cooking wine (white) |
1/2 cup water |
5 ounces milk (evaporated, nonfat) |
5 teaspoons cornstarch |
Directions:
1. Combine salt, pepper and paprika in small bowl; sprinkle over chicken. 2. Layer chicken, mushrooms, green onions and bouillon in Crock-Pot slow cooker. 3. Pour wine and water over top. 4. Cover, cook on High 3 hours or on Low 5 - 6 hours. 5. Transfer chicken and vegetables to platter; cover with foil to keep warm. 6. Combine evaporated milk and cornstarch in small saucepan, stirring until smooth. 7. Add 2 cups cooking liquid from Crock-Pot slow cooker; bring to a boil. 8. Boil 1 minute or until thickened, stirring contantly. 9. Serve chicken and sauce over rice. |
