Creamy Chicken and Cheddar Rice |

This rich, delicious family-pleaser is easily prepared in no time at all. This recipe came from a magazine I received from Kraft, and we love it. Ingredients:
1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into strips |
1 teaspoon garlic powder (or to taste) |
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup |
1 (10 3/4 ounce) soup can milk |
1 1/2 cups minute white rice, uncooked |
2 cups chopped fresh broccoli |
1 cup kraft shredded cheddar cheese |
Directions:
1. Spray nonstick skillet with cooking spray (such as Pam). 2. Add chicken, cover and cook 5 minutes or until cooked through. 3. Sprinkle with garlic powder (if desired). 4. Add soup and milk; Bring to boil. 5. Stir in rice and broccoli; cover. 6. Reduce heat to low; simmer 5 minutes or until rice is tender. 7. Stir in 1/2 cup of cheese; sprinkle with remaining cheese. |
