This is my favorite cheesecake recipe. It's very light in texture with LOTS of flavor. Ingredients:
crust |
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs |
1/4 cup powdered sugar |
1/2 cup butter, melted |
filling |
4 (8 oz) pkgs cream cheese, room temperature |
1 cup sugar |
1 t vanilla |
6 eggs |
topping |
2 cups sour cream |
1 1/3 cups powdered sugar |
1 t vanilla |
Directions:
1. For crust: 2. Combine all ingredients then press in bottom of springform pan. 3. Bake 5 minutes. 4. Cool for 15 minutes before adding filling. 5. For filling: 6. Beat cream cheese in mixer until light. 7. Add sugar and vanilla then mix well. 8. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. 9. Pour over cooled crust and bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. 10. Cool for 15 minutes. 11. For the topping: 12. Mix all well. 13. Carefully pour over cake and bake for another 10 minutes. 14. Cool to room temperature and chill for 24 hours before serving. |
