Creamy Broccoli-sunflower Seed Salad |

I was looking to make a lunch salad for myself and these are the ingredients that I grabbed from the fridge/pantry. There's salty, sweet, savory, creamy, and a little spicy going on in the salad - the results were tasty enough that I wanted to share (and also remember the combo for my own future use). 1 head fresh broccoli, cut into bite size pieces |
1 cup roasted & salted sunflower seeds |
1/2 cup dried cranberries |
1/2 cup mayo |
1/2 cup zesty italian dressing (i used kraft tuscan house italian) |
optional ingredients |
diced red onion |
crumbled bacon |
Directions:
1. Mix the broccoli, sunflower seeds, cranberries, and onion. 2. Whisk the mayo and Italian Dressing until smooth. 3. Pour over salad ingredients and toss to coat. 4. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. 5. Garnish with crumbled bacon (optional) |
