When Im dining out , the first order I place will be Cream of Mushroom or Broccoli . Its high in calories but the taste is something hard to ignore .... AND you can make it at home as a great comfort food . Ingredients:
1 whole broccoli , florets |
1/4 cup low fat olive margarine |
1 onion thinly sliced |
2 tbsp flour |
1 cube chicken stock |
1 small bowl evaporated milk |
2 small bowl water |
2 tbsp cream ( optional ) |
pepper ( optional ) |
Directions:
1. Dip broccoli in hot water and let it cook . 2. Blen in a food processer until smooth . 3. Fry the onion with margarine . 4. Fry the flour . 5. Add the water and milk . 6. Add the cube and the broccoli . 7. Check the salt . 8. Slow simmer until slightly thickened. 9. Drizzle cream on top ( optional ) 10. Serve hot. |
