This is a delicious creamy bean dip that is great to use when making nachos. It's also great on warm flour tortillas! Or, just dip plain old tortilla chips in it and enjoy. Ingredients:
1 large can refried beans |
2/3 cup heavy cream |
garlic powder to taste |
1 medium jar of salsa; mild, medium or hot |
1 cup shredded mozzarella |
1 cup shredded cheddar |
1 cup fresh diced tomatoes |
tortilla chips |
Directions:
1. In a saucepan, heat beans over medium-low heat. 2. Stir in cream until mixture is creamy, but not too runny or too thick. 3. Add garlic powder and salsa. 4. Mix well and stir in mozzarella cheese. 5. Let simmer over low for 5-7 minutes. 6. Pour into a bowl, top with cheddar and tomatoes. 7. Serve with tortilla chips or make full-blown nachos!!! |
