A easy apple dessert that men seem to love. Got the recipe from a Pillsbury cake mix. I have had it for years and everyone always loves it. Ingredients:
1 (18 ounce) box yellow cake mix |
1/2 cup soft margarine or 1/2 cup butter |
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
2 apples, thinly sliced |
1 cup sour cream |
1 egg |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350* 2. Combine first two ingredients: mix until crumbly. 3. Reserve 2/3 cup for topping; add brown sugar and cinnamon to reserved topping mix. 4. Mix well; set aside. 5. Press remaining mixture onto bottom of ungreased 13X9 inch pan. 6. Arrange apple slices over base. 7. Blend sour cream and egg; spread evenly over apples. 8. Sprinkle reserved topping mixture over all. 9. Bake at 350* for 25 to 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown and bubbly. 10. Serve warm. 11. Refrigerate leftovers. 12. Makes 12-15 squares. 13. High attitude bake at 375*. |
