A very easy, tasty Scone. Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
3 tbsp sugar |
3 tsp baking powder |
1/2 tsp salt |
1/2 cup white vanilla baking chips |
1 1/3 cups whipping cream (not whipped) |
1/4 tsp almond extract |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 400 F. 2. Lightly grease cookie sheet. 3. In large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt until well blended. 4. Stir in baking chips. 5. Add whipping cream and almond extract. 6. Stir just until dry ingrediants are moistened. 7. On lightly floured surface, knead dough 6 or 7 times until smooth. 8. Divide dough in half. 9. Pat each half into 6 inch round. 10. Cut each into 6 wedges. 11. Place 2 inches apart on baking sheet. 12. Bake 10-13 minutes, or until light golden brown. 13. When cool, you can drizzle a glaze of icing sugar, milk and almond extract. |
