A little cream always makes a simple dish into something quite special. Serve with garlic bread. Ingredients:
7 ounces penne pasta |
2 tablespoons oil |
2 shallots, chopped |
1 green pepper, deseeded and chopped |
4 ounces mushrooms, chopped |
7 ounces canned tuna, drained |
3 tablespoons heavy cream |
fresh ground black pepper |
12 basil leaves, shredded |
Directions:
1. Cook the pasta in plenty of boiling water, according to the pack instructions. 2. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a small frying pan and cook the shallots and green pepper until soft. Add the mushrooms and cook for 2-3 minutes more. 3. Stir in the tuna and cream and heat through. Season to taste. 4. Drain the pasta and toss with the tuna sauce. Garnish with basil and serve. |
