Delicious with carrots added. Goes great with any roast or meatloaf and mashed potatoes Ingredients:
1-16 oz package frozen peas |
4 tablespoons butter (or more if you like) |
2 tablespoons flour |
1 cup half & half |
heaping teaspoon sugar |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Cook peas in boiling water for ten minutes; pour into colander and drain. ( I reserve some of the liquid to add if my cream sauce is too thick from not measuring my flour) 2. Using same sauce pan melt butter over medium heat and stir in flour. Gradually add half & half, stirring constantly until thick and creamy. 3. Stir in sugar, salt and peas. Taste. 4. Add more salt or sugar if you like |
