I use this recipe whenever I make samon patties, good on buttered toast as well, or just as a side dish to any meal. Sometimes I double the sauce for extra saucy peas! Ingredients:
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can peas (drained) |
1 tablespoon butter |
1 tablespoon flour |
1/2 cup milk |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
1 teaspoon sugar (or more to taste) |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in sauce pan over medium heat, then add flour and stir until blended. 2. Stir in milk and salt, pepper, and sugar bring to a boil and stir until thick. 3. Reduce heat add peas and heat until warm. |
