2 tablespoons all-purpose flour |
2 cups half-and-half |
2 pounds parsnips, scraped, diagonally sliced, and boiled |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat; add flour, stirring until smooth. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add half-and-half; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly. Stir in parsnips, salt, and pepper; cook until thoroughly heated. |
