Ingredients:
6 medium onions, sliced |
1/4 cup butter or margarine |
1/4 cup all-purpose flour |
2 cups milk |
1 teaspoon salt |
fresh parsley sprigs |
Directions:
1. Sauté onion in butter in a large skillet until tender. Remove onion from skillet, and set aside. 2. Add flour to pan drippings, stirring until smooth. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add milk; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly. Stir in salt. Add onion, stirring gently. Garnish with parsley. |
