Ingredients:
7 medium onions, thinly sliced |
3/4 cup butter or 3/4 cup margarine |
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour |
1 1/2 teaspoons salt |
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard |
1/8 teaspoon white pepper |
1 1/2 cups milk |
Directions:
1. Saute onion slices in butter in a large heavy skillet until tender. 2. Add flour,salt,mustard and pepper,stirring until a smooth paste is formed. 3. Gradually add milk,cook over medium heat,stirring frequently until thickened. |
