The flavor of fresh corn without the mess Ingredients:
10 ears fresh corn, shucked, cooked, then removed from cob |
1 cup heavy cream |
1 cup milk |
2 tbls. sugar |
1 tsp. salt |
1/2 tsp. white pepper |
1/2 tsp. black pepper |
1/2 tsp. accent seasoning |
1/2 tsp. garlic powder |
1/2 tsp. fresh thyme, finely chopped |
1 stick butter, unsalted (i know) |
2 tbls. flour |
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan, add first 10 ingredients 2. Slowly bring it to boil 3. Reduce to simmer and cook for 3 minutes 4. In a separate pan, melt butter 5. Stir in flour 6. Add butter and flour mixture to simmering corn 7. Stirring occasionally, simmer for a few more minutes |
