Ingredients:
3 tablespoons butter or margarine |
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour |
1 cup milk |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 1/2 cups cubed, cooked ham |
1 cup cubed sharp cheddar cheese |
2 small tomatoes, peeled, seeded, and chopped |
1/4 cup chopped green pepper |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat; add flour, stirring well. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add milk; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly. Add mustard, hot sauce, and salt; stir until smooth. Stir in ham, cheese, tomatoes, and green pepper. 2. Pour mixture into a lightly greased 1-quart casserole. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Serve over toast points or hot cooked rice. |
