Ingredients:
2 (10-ounce) packages frozen green peas |
1 cup water |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
1 teaspoon sugar |
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour |
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted |
1/2 cup milk |
Directions:
1. Combine peas, water, salt, pepper, and sugar in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and cook over medium heat 8 minutes or until peas are tender. 2. Combine flour and butter; stir until a smooth paste is formed. Add flour mixture to peas; stir well. Gradually add milk to pea mixture; cook over low heat 5 minutes or until thickened, stirring frequently. Serve immediately. |
