Creamed Corn With Bacon

I made this today and it is very tasty. Enjoy.
Ingredients:
4 ears corn
4 slices thick sliced bacon
1 large bunch scallions
2/3 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Directions:
1. Boil corn in boiling water and simmer 4 minutes.
2. Transfer corn to ice water to stop cooking.
3. Drain and cut kernels from cobs.
4. Cut bacon into 1/8” strips.
5. In a heavy skillet cook bacon over moderate heat stirring occasionally until browned and transfer to paper towels to drain.
6. In a heavy saucepan simmer cream, water and lemon juice with bacon, scallions and butter stirring 1 minute.
7. Add corn, salt and pepper and cook until liquid is slightly thickened.
