This is another recipe from my Aunt Maggie who made these for us when we were kids, many moons ago. I tried them with whole kernel corn and they just aren't as good as the creamed corn. Enjoy Ingredients:
1 cup creamed corn |
1 cup flour |
2 teaspoons granulated sugar |
1 egg |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup milk |
Directions:
1. Sift dry ingredients together then add egg to milk and mix with dry ingredients. 2. Fold in corn then drop spoonfuls into hot fat and fry until brown on both sides. 3. Drain well on paper towels. |
