An easy and delicious recipe that makes a great side dish Ingredients:
1 (16 ounce) bag frozen corn |
3/4 cup skim milk |
3/4 cup half-and-half |
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar |
1 1/2 tablespoons butter, melted |
1 1/2 tablespoons flour |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1 dash cayenne pepper |
Directions:
1. Place corn kernels, half and half, milk, salt , sugar, and cayenne pepper in a saucepan. Bring to a slow, low boil beginning on medium heat, stirring frequently. Simmer for 5 minutes on low heat. 2. Melt butter in the microwave, or in a small saucepan on low heat. Whisk in flour until smooth. Stir into the corn until well blended. Cook at low until mixture gets nice consistency - approximately 7 minutes. |
