From Mom's recipe box. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons butter |
1 tablespoon flour |
1/2 cup chicken broth |
1 1/2 cups cream of mushroom soup |
salt, to taste |
1 dash ground black pepper |
2 cups diced cooked chicken |
2 hard-boiled eggs, diced |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in heavy skillet. Whisk in flour and cook 1-2 minutes, until the raw taste is cooked out, but it is not brown. Add broth while continuing to whisk, to form a thick sauce. Add cream of mushroom soup and blend thoroughly. Add salt, pepper, chicken and eggs, and heat through. |
