a very harty supper on a cold night ..or any tine...a favorit of my famileys...quick and so easy ...can also be served over mashed potatoes.. Ingredients:
1 -1 1/2 lb ground beef |
3 tablespoons butter or 3 tablespoons margarine |
3 -4 tablespoons self rising flour or 3 -4 tablespoons cornstarch |
1 quart milk |
1/2 teaspoon sugar |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. fry meat until done an drain. 2. melt butter in same pan add flour to make a paste add milk and stir until smooth. 3. heat slowly until thickens stirring often. 4. add drained meat,sugar,salt and pepper. 5. continue stirring until hot. 6. serve over toast. |
