1/4 cup butter or margarine |
1/3 cup all-purpose flour |
2 1/2 cups milk |
1 cup dry white wine |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat; whisk in flour until smooth. Cook, whisking constantly, 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk and wine; cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until mixture is thickened and bubbly. Stir in salt. |
