Ingredients:
1 cup uncooked regular rice |
2 stalks celery, thinly sliced |
1 quart milk |
1 cup chicken broth |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
croutons (optional) |
green pepper rings (optional) |
Directions:
1. Combine rice, celery, and milk in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Cover. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. 2. Gradually stir in chicken broth, salt, and pepper; continue to cook until thoroughly heated. Do not boil. Garnish with croutons or green pepper rings, if desired. |
