Turn your favorite vegetable into a creamy soup Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter |
2 cups of any vegetable (broccoli, cauliflower, mushroom)-chopped |
2 ribs of celery-chopped |
1 onion-chopped |
2 quarts of chicken stock or water w/bouillon |
1/2 cup butter |
1/2 cup flour |
2 cups milk |
2 cups half & half |
Directions:
1. Saute vegetables in butter until tender crisp. 2. Add stock or water and bring to a boil. 3. In separate boil melt butter and flour mix to a paste. 4. Slowly add butter paste to boiling water to thicken. 5. Turn down heat and add milk and half & half. 6. Heat but DO NOT boil. 7. Serve. |
