You can find jars of soup base next to the soups and bouillon cubes at the grocery store. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups 1% low-fat milk |
1/4 cup all-purpose flour |
1 tablespoon low-sodium jarred chicken soup base |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Gradually whisk milk into flour until smooth; cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, 3 to 5 minutes or until mixture is thickened and bubbly. Whisk in soup base and pepper. |
