Cream Cheese Swirl Brownies Ingredients:
4 oz cream cheese, at room temperature |
10 tbsp butter, unsalted, divided, at room temperature |
3 eggs |
1 1/4 cup sugar, divided |
2 tbsp all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup all-purpose flour |
2 tsp vanilla extract, divided |
4 oz unsweetened baking chocolate |
1/8 tsp salt |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line an 8 inch square baking pan with foil, leaving 1 inch overhanng on 2 sides. Mist foil with cooking spray. 2. Using a mixer on meidum speed, beat cream cheese and 2 tbsp butter until creamy. Add 1 egg. Beat in 2 tbsp flour, 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tsp vanilla until smooth. Set aside. 3. In a double boiler, melt 8 tbsp butter with chocolate, stirring often. Remove from heat. Stir in 1 cup sugar, 1 tsp vanilla and salt. Transfer to a bowl. Cool slightly. 4. Using a mixer on medium-low speed, beat 2 eggs into chocolate 1 at a time. Sprinkle 1/2 cup flour over and gently stir in. 5. Spread half the chocolate mixture in the pan. Carfully spread cheese mixture over chocolate. Spoon remaining chocolate on top. Use tip of a knife to gently swirl through both batters in a marble pattern. 6. Bake until toothpick comes out clean, 40 to 45 minutes. Let cool on wire wrack at least 1 hour. Remove brownies from pan to cutting board using foil. Peel off foil and cut into squares. |
