Buttery cake with a chocolate glaze-Yum! Ingredients:
1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine, softened,plus |
2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine, softened |
6 ounces cream cheese |
2 1/4 cups sugar |
6 eggs |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 1/4 cups flour |
1 cup sugar |
1/3 cup evaporated milk |
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine |
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips |
Directions:
1. Cream butter, cheese, and sugar. 2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. 3. Beat in vanilla. 4. Add flour; mix well. 5. Pour into greased 15in by 10in baking pan. 6. Bake at 325* for 35 minutes. 7. Cool completely. 8. Frosting: Mix sugar and milk in saucepan. 9. Bring to a boil over med heat. 10. Cover and cook for 3 minutes (do not stir). 11. Stir in butter and chocolate chips until melted. 12. Cool slightly; stir; spread over cake. |
