A cool summer dessert but can be served in any season. This recipe came from my wife's mother who got it off of a Jello Box 30 years ago. Now it is a family tradition. Ingredients:
6 ounces gelatin |
1/2 cup sugar |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
2 packages dream whip dry whip topping mix |
16 ounces cream cheese, softened |
2 each graham cracker crumb pie crusts |
Directions:
1. Dissolve Jello per package instructions. 2. Add sugar and lemon juice. Chill in the refrigerator overnight or until mixture jells. 3. Prepare topping mix per instructions on the Dream Whip package. Then whip with Jello and cream cheese using a mixer. 4. Put mixture into pie crusts (bought), chill in refrigerator until firm. About 2 hours. 5. Cut and serve. |
