Cream Cheese Macadamia Cookies |

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, softened |
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened |
3/4 cup packed brown sugar |
4 teaspoons orange zest |
2 teaspoons vanilla extract |
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
3/4 cup coarsely chopped salted macadamia nut |
Directions:
1. In a mixing bowl,cream the butter,cream cheese,brown sugar,orange peel and vanilla. 2. Combine flour and baking powder. 3. Gradually add to the creamed mixture,mix well. 4. Fold in nuts. 5. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm. 6. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto greased baking sheets,flatten slightly. 7. Bake at 400 for 9-11 minutes or until lightly browned. 8. Remove to wire racks and cool. |
