This is a wonderful cream cheese frosting that goes great with carrot cake, red velvet cake, chocolate cake, or yellow cake...you could serve it on a rock and it would taste good :). Ingredients:
2 packages cream cheese |
1/2 cup butter |
5 cups powdered sugar |
1 tsp vanilla |
2 tbsp water or milk |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and cream cheese on high speed 2. add the rest, until smooth and shiny (Be careful while adding the powdered sugar, unless you want to wear it. Putting a towel over your mixer will help keep the dust in the bowl). 3. this is easier to work with when it is a little chilled 4. if it's too warm, it will run down the sides of the cake 5. refigerate if not serving immediately |
