My favourite cream cheese frosting. Rich and creamy and slightly tart from the addition of fresh lemon juice. Ingredients:
8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature |
2 tablespoons butter, at room temperature |
3/4 cup granulated sugar |
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
milk (optional, if icing is too thick) |
Directions:
1. Combine cream cheese, butter, lemon juice and vanilla. 2. Beat in sugar. Beat until sugar has dissolved. If icing is too thick, add up to two tablespoonfuls of milk to thin. |
