These make cute little cookies for company or just to have. This recipe makes 2 dozen. They remind me alot of Pecan Sandies. Picture from Dodge Jamie Blogspot. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter (no substitutes) |
4 oz cream cheese softened |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour |
1 tablespoon sugar |
dash salt |
1 cup finely chopped pecans |
confectioners sugar |
Directions:
1. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and cream cheese. 2. Beat in vanilla. 3. Combine the flour, sugar and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. 4. Stir in pecans. (dough will be crumbly) 5. Shape tablespoons into 2 inch logs. 6. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. 7. Bake at 375 for 12 to 14 minutes or until lightly brown. 8. Roll warm cookies in confectioners sugar; cool on wire racks. 9. Yield: 2 dozen |
