I have loved cream cheese cookies since I was little. When I found this recipe in an old 4-H cookbook I was so excited. They are wonderful little cookies that I make often . I like them for Christmas as part of my tray also. Ingredients:
1 cup shortening |
3 ounces cream cheese |
1 cup sugar |
2 egg yolks |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
2 1/2 cups flour, sifted |
Directions:
1. Cream shortening, add cream cheese, blend well. 2. Beat in sugar, then egg yolks and vanilla. 3. Beat in flour. 4. Makes a thick dough. 5. Roll out on lightly floured board. 6. Cut in circles or shapes. 7. Bake at 350 for 10 to 12 minutes. |
