My Dad forwarded me this recipe from a lady he works with, I think it was a hint to make them. LOL They are awesome! Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter |
1 cup sugar |
1/16 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup crisco |
1 egg yolk |
2 1/2 cups flour |
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
sugar |
Directions:
1. Cream together butter, shortening & cream cheese. 2. Add sugar, salt, vanilla and egg yolk, mix well. 3. Gradually blend in flour and mix well. 4. Use 1 teaspoonful of dough and make into a rounded ball then place on greased cookie sheet (or use parchment paper - works a lot better!). 5. Bake for about 15 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. 6. Remove from oven. 7. Grease the bottom of a glass with butter and then dip into sugar - use this to flatten out cookies while they are still hot and leave sugar coating on top. |
