A dreamy creamy cake so easy to make
Ingredients:
1 yellow or white cake mix
1 (14oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1/3 c caramel ice cream topping
2 c heavy whipping cream
1/4 c powdered sugar
1 t vanilla
1/3 c sliced almonds
Directions:
1. Prepare cake mix according to package directions for 13x9 pan; cool completely in pan.
2. Place sweetened condensed milk in large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on med. power stirring occasionally for 4 minutes. Reduce to med-low and cook, stirring every few minutes for 16 to 24 min or until thick and a light caramel color. Stir in caramel topping. Cool for 15 minutes. Spread on cooled cake. Cool completely.
3. Beat whipping cream in large bowl until soft peaks form. Add sugar and vanilla; beat until stiff peaks form. Spread over cake, sprinkle with almonds.
4. Refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours.
5. Refrigerate any leftovers
6. You can switch topping flavors and cake flavors; choc cake mix-choc topping, spice cake with the caramel. Pineapple topping sounds
7. yummy but haven't tried it. Almost anything goes.
