I believe this recipe came from a book of Mennonite recipes. I've had it for over 35 years. You can frost it any way you want. I personally like whipped cream with well-drained crushed pineapple mixed in. A simple cake to bake. Ingredients:
2 cups sugar |
3 eggs, beaten |
2 cups flour |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 cup coffee creamer (use 10% milk fat or half & half) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350*. Cream sugar and eggs. 2. Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Add alternately with the cream, mixing well. 3. Bake 350* in a greased 9 x 13 pan for 30-40 minutes (depending on your oven). 4. Cool & frost as desired. |
